Pavlova & Partners Law Firm Specialists Took Part in Webinar on Limitation of Actions Matters

Konstantin Savin, Partner of Pavlova & Partners Law Firm, Sergey Soldatenko, Head of the Litigation Practice in Pavlova & Partners Law Firm, took part in a webinar devoted to the matters of limitation of actions.

The venue was held on June 6 on the basis of the legal portal Lextorium. Andrei Yegorov, Director of the Russian School of Private Law, was moderator of event.

Konstantin Savin discussed the impact of the trial on the running of the limitations of actions. In his speech, Konstantin analyzed the actual court practice and commented on the resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation No. 43 “On some issues related to the application of the provisions of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation on the statute of limitations” dated September 29, 2015. Speakers also discussed other important practical issues that were not reflected in the explanation of the highest court.

Sergey Soldatenko reported on the statute of limitations on claims for recognition. He was discussing the legal nature of positive and negative claims for recognition, the development of judicial practice on the matter of applying them to the statute of limitations. Besides, Sergey referred to the experience of foreign law and order in the application of limitation of actions to statutory requirements.
