Sergey Levichev, Head of the Bankruptcy Department, Konstantin Savin, Head of the Real Estate and Construction Department, took part in the conference on subsidiary liability in bankruptcy.

The conference was held on March 29 with the support of the Research Center for Private Law under the President of the Russian Federation, Bartolius Law Firm and the Statute School of Law. Among the speakers at the event were well-known lawyers in the field of bankruptcy: Andrey Egorov, Oleg Zaitsev, Rustem Miftahutdinov, Mikhail Shvarts and other specialists.

The conference discussed subsidiary liability of the head as a sanction for the delay in initiating the bankruptcy proceedings, relationship between subsidiary liability and liability for bringing to bankruptcy, main legislative innovations in bringing to subsidiary responsibility introduced by the Federal Law No. 488-FZ dated December 28, 2016.

In addition, the participants discussed how the practice of bringing controlling persons to subsidiary liability operates, procedural features of cases of subsidiary liability, as well as other issues.
